Hello, I'm Andrew Hitchcock. I'm a software developer in Seattle, Washington.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 2007 with a BS in computer science a minor in chemistry.
My interests include large scale distributed systems, data mining, personalization/recommendation systems, computer vision, cooking, and bicycling.
I'm currently working on Elastic MapReduce, which is part of Amazon Web Services.
I have at least dabbled in the following languages: C, C++, Objective-C, Java, Perl, Ruby, Python, AppleScript, Javascript. I'm currently strongest in Java, since I use it the most, but I also know my way around Ruby and some of the others mentioned above.
